Spook - O is a fun orienteering family friendly event that takes place on Saturday October 24 3pm - 9pm. The afternoon/evening includes 2 courses, dinner/dessert, crafts and games.  Course are set in Confederation Park and social is at St. Giles Church.  This is a drop in event so come anytime after 3:00pm and stay as long as you wish.  You must register for this event on Zone 4  All registrations must be done by Oct. 22nd.

Courses: 

Course 1 - Kids Halloween Collectors course is ideal for kids who would like to do a simple point to point navigation course, length will be approximately 2 km.  Kids will collect items at every control to make a prize at the end.  On course kids will trick or treat a few times, see a few Halloween themed controls and complete the course in approximatly 45 minutes.  Course 1 opens at 3:00 pm and can be run until 7:30pm.  This course is great for kids 3 - 12 with their parents but truly ideal for anyone who doesn't want to be scared.

Course 2 - Scare if you Dare Course will be longer more tricky point to point course with scary controls.  The course will be 3 to 4km in distance and take about 50 minutes to complete.  Controls can be SCARY, candy will be found along the way, course opens at 6:30pm and closes at 8:00 when everyone must be back.

Kids and parents alike are encouraged to dress up!

Parking is in church parking lot away from the registration area, in front of church, along alley and on 10th street along side confederation park. Dinner in St. Giles Church basement and follows every course.  Dinner will be served continuously from 4:00 - 9, there is no need to bring dishes as we will use the church supply, crafts will be set up inside church on the main level, games will take place outside just off the parking lot to the church.
