All Sport One Day is a fantastic day in Calgary run by City.  The day offers all kids a chance to try a variety of different sports.  In Calgary there is 12 facilities with 50 different sport activities to try.  Our orienteering club is presenting our new Junior program.  We expect to introduce over 60 kids with their parents to the sport of orienteering!  Our club has been participating in this event for over 3 years.  Here is the link to this years event check it out http://allsportoneday.ca

Our Club Details:

Location: Lindsay Park, South East of the dome, under the FWOC pop up tent.

Time: Set up from 9:00-10:00 Kids come in hour intervals until 2:00

Volunteer: Sign Up - volunteer here

*****Orienteering skill is not required for volunteering. We'll need help to organize the groups, bring groups to stations, run the stations and talk to the parents about our orienteering club and specifically about our new junior program.

Parking: There is a large parking lot, but last year we were there at the same time as a huge group of swimmers, so, just in case we're double booked, give yourself extra time.

We will run a station based orienteering program like our Monday nights.

Volunteers will receive T-shirts (a lovely blue color, I'm told), and we'll provide lunch and drinks of fine quality.

Looking forward to a great day,

I will provide updates as they arrive...

All Sport One Day coordinator for FWOC
