Bowmont Park - West Wednesday Evening series

Thank you's - Thank you everyone who dared come out in the wet. You were treated to rain and mud, but we managed to avoid the storms. Thank you to Clarence for putting out controls, pick-up and registration; Mardy for registration and control pick-up; Remo, Jonathan and Karen for control pick-up and to Jane for helping with map printing. I was hoping to publish some results, but seem to have lost the slip of paper with results on it - sorry.
Parking: parking is limited. To leave some space for other unsuspecting members of the public and if the weather is fine, you might consider alternative parking on Silver Valley Boulevard (if coming from the north on Nose Hill Dr. access via Silver Springs Rd.) and taking the short walk down the hill to the assembly area. You may even spot some controls along the way!!! We are meeting in the lot off 85th St, NORTH of the railway tracks.
If you live close by - consider cycling.
Please sign up for the course you think you will do, so we know how many maps will be needed.
Volunteers: looking for some help with registration (6:15-7pm) and control pick-up (after 8pm). Please email Teresa if you can help.
Registration: from 6:15pm. All participants must be FWOC members. You can purchase your membership here.
Map: this area is newly mapped (2014) - Enjoy!
Courses Open: by 6:30pm
Courses Close: 8pm - you must report to the finish by this time
Courses: expect lots of ups and downs. Four courses 1.5km to 4.5km
Other Notes:
- Please bring a water bottle.
- Please be considerate to other park users - you are likely to encounter off-leash dogs and cyclists
- Please shut any gates you open (courses 2, 3 and 4)
