Come on out this Wed. March 14 to check out the new Rocky Ridge YMCA and orienteer in a new area around Rocky Ridge and Royal Oak communities! We will meet at the Rocky Ridge YMCA,

Meeting Point: I'll be on the seating overlooking the Badminton Court, inside the South-East Doors and near the Library at the YMCA (Country Hills Boulevard and Rocky Ridge Road).

Facilities: I'm afraid there are no food facilities apart from vending machines at the Y. There are washrooms. There are plenty of eating places at the Royal Oak Centre or a nice cafe just down Rocky Ridge Road.

Map: The map is an from openstreetmap.org, the Cycle Map layer. It shows roads, pathways, green spaces and ponds.

Course: Controls marked on the map are all Water Hydrants. They are worth 10, 20 or 30 points. Choose your own route to gain as many points as possible within 60 minutes. You will earn negative 10 points each minute you are over 60 minutes.

Conditions: Snow and ice. Some of the marked pathways are cleared, some are not.

Don't Forget: A timekeeper, suitable footwear for snow/ice, headlamp/reflective clothing

Rules: No crossing ponds, cross roads safely at crosswalks, Be Back by 8:30pm
