Nth Glenmore Park WEO #11 - Results! Wednesday Evening series

This event will be a "Score O" event. Your goal will be to visit as many controls as you can within a specified amount of time. You can visit the controls in any order. Each control will be worth a specified number of points (10, 20 or 30 points). Controls worth 10 are relatively easy and/or close to the start/finish. Controls worth 30 are more difficult and/or further away. There will be 3 categories: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The winner of each category will be the person with the highest number of points.

Notes for this Score O event:

• the beginner course does not cross the main road going through the park;
• the mowed and unmowed pathways may not be exactly identical to the map
• vegetation has grown or might have been trimmed and there are several new man-made features
• watch out for the disc golfers and cyclists

Course closure is 8:00pm. Controls will be collected starting at 8pm.

Registration for our regular Wednesday events - Things to know:

• We are returning to regular orienteering!! This means in-person with control flags and SI units in the terrain from 6:30-8pm on the day of the event.
• We will be using SI sticks; you can borrow one on the night of the event if you do not own one.
• You will have to pre-register for the events at https://2mev.com/#!/events/north-glenmore-park-fwo...
• You will need to be a 2022 member of Foothills Orienteering (FWOC) or another Canadian orienteering club.
• We will be using Maprun6 so you can run anytime if you do not want to run on the evening of the event.
