Salomon Genesis Club Night at Gord's Running Store - MEMBERS ONLY: RESULTS!

Thanks to all who came out to Gord's last night - a fun time was had by all, including at the Two Pillars post run! A fair number of new shoes were seen leaving the store! And apologies to all of you who couldn't find #6... I realised when picking up the flagging this morning that I hadn't actually put it out...! I had been there on Tuesday when checking things.
And many thanks to Cathy and the staff at Gord's Running Store! I forgot to mention to you all that they do carry Silva compasses, including thumb compasses!

UPDATE: I ran around this morning and was wishing I had worn Salomons - the slopes were a bit wet with Tuesday night's rain! So this should be a great chance to try them out! I have adjusted the course lengths. The short course does go onto the escarpment - I needed to give you a chance to try out the Salomon shoes! But if you don't want to go down there, just go to the finish. I will not be timing the courses. Please self time! The control sites will be marked either by a regular flag or maybe just orange and white flagging tape attached by a clothes peg.

Salomon Genesis Demo Run
At Gord’s Running Store (GRS), 919 Center Street NW, Calgary
Gord was always an incredible supporter of orienteering and the local running scene in general. He passed in March but his legacy lives on.
This will be a Members-Only Club Night at the Store on Thursday, June 19th. The Salomon rep will be there with a fleet of Salomon shoes to try out and go for a run in them! There will be a couple of orienteering courses from the store. Please sign up on this page, so I know how many maps to print! The courses aren't designed yet so I will add more info soon... The intermediate course will largely be off trail on the escarpment so that you can try out the Genesis trail shoes!
Arrive anytime after 6 pm, event begins at 6:30. That evening only, GRS is offering 25% off regular-priced, in-store apparel, shoes, Silva and other accessories. Electronics and nutrition are excluded.
