Free -Try Orienteering - session

Try-It participants need to register using the green registration button on this page, as we need to know how many maps to print and to sign the online waiver.

After you sign up on the Google registration form, you will receive an email a day before the event to remind you of the start location. The location can also be seen on the map below.

If you decide to return for additional sessions, you will need to join the FWOC Club (with a $20 annual membership fee, dicoumtd for families) and pay the event fee ($5). Alternatively, you can purchase an annual pass for all Wednesday events, which includes over 20 events, for $55.

What to expect?

• You will receive brief instructions.
• You can try a couple of learning activities.
• You will get a map and head out for a self-led map walk or run to try the beginner-orienteering course. All of this would take around 1 hour.
• No previous experience is necessary, join us for this fun walk to explore Calgary's parks!
• Children must be supervised by accompanying adults
